Just a quick update. The thoracic surgery team that was scheduled to do the tracheotomy for Melissa ended up in a complicated case today. As a result, Melissa's procedure will be either tomorrow or Wednesday. I will provide an update when I know more.

Praying for you as you hang in there

Another procedure may seem discouraging, but it can help to lessen sedation, aid in breathing and help with care of respiratory tract. Having endotracheal tubes in too long can create other issue…
