Next Step

Today is the day.... Melissa has improved enough to be transferred to an acute care hospital for physical therapy and ventilator weaning. This is a huge, exciting step....one step closer to coming home.

It's not without a bit of anxiety, though. The staff in the ICU and doctors at our hospital of choice are amazing. The care they gave Melissa, and me, was of the highest quality. They truly care about the human being they are treating. The new hospital is an unknown quantity to us. Our hope and prayer is that the care is just as good, and that the stay is short 🙂.

Thank you again for your prayers and support during these last few weeks!

Good news. Praying the new hospital is great too. May God make the way for Melissa to be off ithe ventilator and gaining strength every day. We've been memorizing Psalm 84: 5-8. May she "go from strength to strength". Sending love and prayers 💘
