Small steps forward

After some tough days, Melissa has really turned a corner. She is sitting up, eating and drinking, participating in OT & PT, texting, and conversing with family. Today the respiratory team changed her from high flow oxygen to a regular nasal canula. One step closer to not needing the oxygen support.

She also greatly enjoyed spending time with her brother who came to visit. She even let hubby sleep at home for the first time since surgery last night. Her parents and bestie have been by for visits - which sometimes means helping her eat and watching her sleep.

Thank you again for the continued thoughts and prayers!
