Day 2

In my (the hubby) work world, after a big project launches, "Day 2" is everything that comes after the launch. With Melissa's vascular procedures complete, we are now in her "Day 2".

Yesterday, the breathing tube was removed, which is a huge step. She has some fluid in and around her lungs that they are treating with medication and respiratory therapy. She will also be seeing speech therapy for swallowing assistance.

Her blood pressure is being monitored closely, and seems to be staying within the right parameters.

Pain management is essential for the healing process, and they are giving her regular medication. She tells me the pain is generalized but much better than prior to the surgeries.

As "Day 2" continues, there's much to be grateful for and also much more work to be done.

Thank you again for all of the thoughts, prayers, and support!

Please continue to pray for positive movement in the tight direction for all of the items mentioned above.
